How has your research changed your understanding what culture is? Explain

My research kind of changed my understanding of culture because every culture is different. They will have some similarities too. I understand that culture is really a part of your life. It effects how you behave and act around your family, friends, and society. Each of us is different from each other. It helped me understand how like a person who  is a shaman and reacting towards and person who is Christian. Each of the cultures have their values, customs, symbols, norms, and beliefs. Researching what Karen culture is like makes me think that yea each of the culture is unique in their own way no matter what they believe in. I used to think that culture don't have anything to do with me reacting to others, but now I do. Culture defines who you are.

How is socialization affected to cognitive development?
Socialization makes them develop things they never did before. Jean Piaget, a sociologist, who had a theory of cognitive development. There are 4 stages to his theory. The first stage is sensorimotor stage where he/she has the ability to mimick but don't know what the words mean. They experience world through sensory contact such as tasting, touching and sucking(from birth to age two). The second stage, preoperational stage, where he/she learns their first language. They are not ale to see the world from another's point of view. The third stage, concrete operational stage, begins to understand that symbols can represent many things. The last stage, formal operational stage where they began to think and imagine themselves  to engage the mind and to explain why they want to engage the mind. They began to understand more and more and think more.

How do the 5 agents of socialization impact one's ability to survive in society? Well, it helps each individual learn many things that is used in society. Influenced from your parents, one day you just want to be a parebt like them. Hanging out with your friends helps you learn new thigns like a way to talk to others. Your personality can be from hanging out with tour friends. Mass media helps us how to look at others like as in judging other people from their appearence. You might want to become a super hero from those comics you read. Getting educated from school is a key to sucess. The more you go to school the more you get educated and the  more you get a good career/job to be able to pay your bills.

Rate the 5 agents in order from what you think is the most to least important and explain why number one is the most important? Rating from 1-5, i think Family is the most imporant, second comes culture, peer group, school, last but not least mass media. Family, to me is the most important because although you learn many things from the other agents, family is the first to learn from. They guide you from doing the right and wrong things. You know who you are when you with family. You learn to love first from them. Family is still going to be there when you're down. No matter what happens, family will be there for you no matter if it is right or wrong. Family encourages you to do things more in life. They're the main where you will end with. "They are the light to guide you when your life is in darkness." Family is the starting point of your life. Family, is what you'll need later in the future when you have your own family to begin life with.
